Spring 2010 Bulletin
The Kentuckiana Society of OFPA and the Kentrucky Society of the Sons of the Revolution held a joint luncheon meeting on Dec 5, 2009, at the Pendennis Club, Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Ron Bryant was the speaker at the luncheon. Mr. Bruant is Executive Director of the Waveland State Historical Site in Lexington, Kentucky. He spoke on the Lee Family in connection with the Founders and Patriots in America. He traced the Lee Family from Richard Lee to “Light Horse Harry” and Richard Henry Lee.
During the program, Rev. Paul (Sonny) Smith conducted a Memorial Service in remembrance of Rev. Dr. Dixon A. Barr, who was a member of the Order of Founders and Patriots of America and the General Society Sons of the Revolution.
At the business session of the Kentuckiana Society of OFPA, it was decided to have a special meeting to discuss the hosting of the General Court of OFPA in 2014 in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Associates voted at the Special Business Meeting to host the General Court of OFPA in 2014.
