Special Meeting with the Governor General The Order of Founders and Patriots, Kentuckiana Society met on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Pendennis Club in Louisville for a Special Meeting with Governor General J. Michael Phelps. Following the Prayer of the Order and a
Pledge of Allegiance, Governor Dr. Jack J. Early conducted a brief business session. He then introduced the Governor General, who shared his observations about the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America. The Kentuckiana Governor, Dr. Jack J. Early, former State Representative in the Kentucky State Legislature, awarded Governor General Phelps an Honorary Kentucky Colonel Commission on behalf of the Governor of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky. A photograph of the meeting can be found on the previous page. Sons of the Revolution Meeting The Kentuckiana Society of the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America held a joint luncheon with the Sons of the Revolution in the Commonwealth of
Kentucky on Saturday, December l, 2007 at the historic Pendennis Club in Louisville. Mr. Michael Christian led the Prayer of the Order and Dr. William Schrader led the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Tom House was introduced as a new member of the Kentuckiana Society.
Governor Dr. Jack J. Early conducted the business meeting. It was decided to continue the R.O.T.C. Awards at Indiana University, Ball State University, the University of Louisville and the
University of Kentucky.

Governor Early introduced Dr. Dixon Barr, former Dean of the College of Education at
Eastern State University, Richmond, Kentucky, who addressed the joint luncheon on the subject, “Founders Before Jamestown.” His address was well received with several questions from the two groups.
