New Hampshire Society News Archive

On Tuesday, May 30, the NH Society joined with members of the NH Chapter of DFPA at the Cat n’ Fiddle Restaurant in Concord to welcome DFPA National President, Mrs. Alvin L. Halterman who had come from Nebraska. The program featured Virginia Garsney, a reinactor, who portrayed Jane Pierce, the wife of our 14th President (and the only one from New Hampshire). Mrs. Garsney presented a most believable portrait of Mrs. Pierce, and her presentation was very well received. The opportunity to work more closely with NH-DFPA is important to our small Society, and we look forward to a continuation. NH-OFPA has added several new members in recent months, and we hope to find more through DFPA-NH.
Our next meeting takes place on October 6, when we join the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of New Hampshire for luncheon at The Cat n’ Fiddle.
