Spring Bulletin 2006
The members of the Alabama Society met in February 2006. When they were invited to join the Alabama Association of
the Society of the Cinncinnati at their annual luncheon celebrating General Washington’s birthday. The luncheon
was held this year at the mountain Brook Club in Birmingham.

Among the members there were Brigadiers General (ret.) John H. Napier III, founding Governor of the Alabama Society,
and Henry S. Lynn, Jr., who suceeded him as second Governor of the Alabama Society. They were pleased to welcome a new
member, Thornton Lee Neathery of Tuscaloosa, to membership in the Order.
Following lunch, Luther Waller, a member of the Cinninnati, have a most interesting talk on his recent visit in the dead
of winter to Moscow and St.Petersburg and made a member of thoughtful observations on his findings of life
in contemporary Russia.
As a result of this joint luncheon, two inquiries were recieved about membership in the Order.
